This is the place where you can find the jazz photography I make of jazz musicians in performance or portraits.  I mainly shoot for Earshot Jazz or other performance festivals like the Ballard Jazz Festival or Bellevue Jazz Festival and

I try to get them up here as soon after the performance as I can.

Some may be published in the Earshot Jazz monthly magazine, but some do not fit and so are published here. They are usually in color here and black and white in the magazine. Almost every thing here is available as a print. Drop me an email and let me know if you are interested. Prices vary depending upon size. A license can also be arranged if you would like to use a photo on a website. Again,  please drop me an email. Daniel@DanielSheehan.com

  1. Paul Goldstein Says:

    Hi David,

I absolutely love your work. I run a new jazz radio station based in Los Angeles: http://www.TheJazzGroove.com

We debuted last year and already have an audience in excess of 70,000 listeners! Our format is “laid-back” “elegant” jazz and we are 100% listener supported and commercial free.

We’re looking to create some posters and fliers and are looking for the perfect image.

In the past we’ve partnered with a photographer to shoot some non jazz images – we gave him exposure on our station in exchange for a photo shoot.

Would you consider a similar barter arrangement? If you would I’d enjoy speaking with you about more details. I hope to hear from you soon. All the best, Paul
